We are searching for an experienced and motivated Field Engineer / Materials Coordinator to assist with various duties on a large project site in Bozeman, Montana.
This is not an entry level position
Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in construction labor with some experience with finish carpentry; work with precision and be highly detail oriented; be a strong communicator; and have a solid work ethic.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect and record shipments of products and equipment.
- Manage storage and distribution of materials and equipment on site.
- Move, stage, and track inventory of materials and equipment.
- Ensure proper storage of materials and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Move materials as needed via forklift.
- Perform other duties as required by site superintendent(s) including install various fixtures and millwork, windows, ceiling panels, staircases, decking, fire caulking, reading blueprints, and collaborating with other carpenters, journeymen, and supervisors to complete projects.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience as a carpenter or finish carpenter.
- Forklift Certified preferred.
- Ability to document, cycle count, and track material and equipment inventory.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to use common hand and power tools, PPE, and carpentry trade tools.
- Troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Physical stamina for lifting equipment and working at various heights and in tight spaces.
- Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Must adhere to all safety protocols and workplace policies.
- Must be able to collaborate effectively with the team to complete projects on schedule.
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to commute to Bozeman.
- Collaborative and strong team orientation.
- Should own hand tools.
- Ability to read Blueprints.
