Mountain Home Air Force Base – 389th Fighter Squadron Operations Facility

The 389 Fighter Squadron Operations Facility at Mountain Home Air Force Base required major renovations and more space to better accommodate the facility’s users. Site layout, grading, landscape, and utility (including telecommunications and intrusion detection) improvements were performed to ensure Antiterrorism compliance, assist with area modernizations, and support a building addition.

The facility expansion, adding 2,500 square feet to the secure area, consisted of CMU construction with a low-slope membrane roof system.

Construction services for the existing 19,000 square foot building included the demolition/removal and replacement of exterior windows and door systems with new blast-rated systems, flooring, attic insulation, acoustical ceiling system, HVAC systems (equipment and ductwork), electrical systems (main service drop, main panel, sub panels and wiring between panels).

Building upgrades consisted of new fixtures, finishes, fire suppression system (fire detection, alarm, wet pipe sprinklers, and mass notification), interior LED lighting, and occupancy sensors.
